The Eumundi Markets is one of Australia’s leading tourist attractions is only 30 minutes  north from the  Montville Mountain Inn, and is located in the heart of the historic town of Eumundi.  The iconic and towering heritage listed fig trees rise above the 500 plus stall market.  View artworks and sculptures by local artists. Taste homemade lemonade, freshly baked breads, locally grown produce and fresh seasonal fruits.  Listen to the diverse music of the electronic didgeridoo and bongo drums or traditional bush poetry and street theatre.

Awarded Australia’s Best Major Tourist Attraction year after year, Australia Zoo is only a short 20 minute drive from the Montville Mountain Inn, and offers a whole day of wildlife action and adventure. Other exciting daily shows include cheeky Asian otters, cuddle koalas, snakes, tigers, and we can’t forget the amazing Giant Galapagos Tortoise, who hatched in 1830.

Kondalilla Falls

Only 15 minutes from the Montville Mountain Inn, Mary Caincross Scenic Reserve is one of the best remnants of a sub-tropical rainforest in Australia, with amazing views across the Glass House Mountains, also features an excellent education centre.  Many rare and threatened tree species flourish in this park, and the endangered Coxen’s Fig Parrot and Richmond Birdwing Butterfly have been seen.  The Glass House Mountains are remnants of volcanoes active about 25 million years ago.  They were formed as molten rock was forced out of vents from within the earth.
